Blanca Acuña is a Mexican graphic designer, and currently a doctoral student of New Media at the Media Lab in the School of Art and Design of Aalto University, in Helsinki Finland. She has developed several visual communication activities mainly in Mexico and some in Finland. Besides her design activities, she has been professor of design at the university level in Mexico, as well as visiting artist and lecturer in the Department of Art at Georgia Southern University, USA. Her doctoral research project addresses the case study of the design of a digital application. The purpose of the research project is to reflect on the importance that information design, navigation structures, and interactivity have in the design of digital interfaces within the cultural heritage domain.
