I have a very diverse background, both personally and professionally. Born in Cuba and raised in New Jersey among Spanish speaking people from various places, I might best be described as Hispanic. Over the last eight years, I have taught at different colleges and Universities in Miami, FL, where I have interacted with students and professors from all over the world. The bulk of my teaching experience is in English literature and composition, but I have also taught Spanish and humanities. I have taken each of my degrees in a different field: AA in psychology, BA in philosophy, MA in Spanish, MA in linguistics. Currently, I am ABD in English. My dissertation explores religion and disillusion in William James, Henry James, and George Santayana.
