With my background as mechanical engineer and specialized in renewable energy, I work since 1996 in high-altitude Nepal. I developed a the new community development approaches of the "Family of 4" and the "Family 4 PLUS" which we implement in close partnership with rural village in the Nepal Himalayas through our not-for profit Nepali NGO RIDS-Nepal (www.rids-nepal.org) and the Swiss and USA based sister Organisations RIDS-Switzerland (www.rids-switzerland) and RIDS-USA (www.rids-usa.org). Through these two NGOs, we implementing holistic community development projects in some of the poorest and most under developed, high-altitude districts of Humla and Jumla, in the North-West of Nepal.
