Amber Duivenvoorden is a third-year Ph.D. researcher in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. Her research centers around how the nuances of a minority culture can be retained when writing fiction in the English language. As part of her Ph.D., she is writing a collection of short stories about Malta, with a particular focus on how the country’s political concerns have developed from post-war to contemporary times. Her work has been published in the Bristol Short Story Prize 2017, the internationally refereed postgraduate journal antae and in The Transnational Journal.
