New Learning MOOC’s Updates

Transformative teaching from access to technology and exposure to design. (Discussion Forum: Optional Update #5)

To describe and analyze an educational innovation that could be described as "transformative," I would like to address the case of the Mayfield Innovation Center, which has chosen to change traditional classrooms for technologically stimulated environments where students are exposed to technologies that the jobs of the future demand. such as virtual reality, 3D printers and design software. This school has adapted to the K-12 model, which proposes that students learn and have access to the technologies that are currently in demand in the real world so that they can create ideas that adapt to the needs of the real world.

Why is the Mayfield Innovation Center case "transformative"? Because it gives students the opportunity to have tools that allow them to learn from the real world and make changes in their reality from exposure to design and creation of practical knowledge.
