New Learning MOOC’s Updates

Essential peer reviewed update #2: Contemporary text of political rhetoric or public policy that sets social objectives for education.

Recently, Sarah Duterte, the Vice President of the Philippines and the Department of Education Secretary, had ordered that "anything that is posted on the wall should be removed. Its main purpose is for the learners to stay focused on the lesson and not be distracted. She added that classrooms and schools should be clean and functional.

The vice president has a good point and reason, however, as I learned in my tertiary years, it's better to have information posted on the wall, not just to serve as a decoration but also serve as additional knowledge on the learners' parts, especially on the younger ones that need more visual representations of objects. Classrooms that are pleasing to the eyes are far more conducive to learning than a plain classroom. Plain classrooms bring no motivation to the learners.
