New Learning MOOC’s Updates

Changes from teacher-centered to student-centered

Teachers traditionally have been viewed as being in control of the classroom, using a teacher-centered approach to education. This approach involves the teacher delivering instruction and the students being passive recipients of the information. In recent years, there has been an increased shift towards students-centered approaches to learning. This approach puts students in charge of their learning experience and encourages them to take ownership of the learning process. Students are actively involved in the learning process and are encouraged to explore and experiment with new concepts and ideas. Teachers guide the students, rather than controlling the learning process. This shift towards student-centered education has been seen to improve learning outcomes, as it allows students to become engaged in their own learning and explore the subject at their own pace.
