Arts as a Dialogue Tool : Building an Educational Program through the Arts for a Plural Audience

Abstract

It’s not always easy to express yourself and to be heard in a group when we have cultural backgrounds mixture. This session brings the role of art as an impact on communities and as a tool for cultural exchange. Arts and culture are increasingly becoming practical tools to promote social cohesion, coexistence and reconciliation. In a fragmented society, art can be used as a dialogue tool to create a community program breaking boundaries, which are sometimes invisible. In this workshop, we explore hands-on experience, examples and techniques to illustrate cultural exchange with different cultures.
