Abstract
The museum is an example of a source of knowledge that can be used by the public to process information and knowledge related to geoscience. In addition, people seek pleasure or satisfaction in visiting museums - as is the case for museums in a geopark area suchas at the Batur Geopark Museum in Bali. As one of the tourism attractions, this museum also plays a role as a source of knowledge for visitors. This research explores how the Batur Museum acts as a source of knowledge. The research method uses case study analysis with the implementation of the Sociology Knowledge Approach to Discourse theory. The research results show the role and function of the museum in relation to the development of a geopark and earth sciences in general.
