Abstract
STEM in SPORTS was developed to introduce students to the possibility of a career in engineering through the use of sports specfic technology. More recently, there has been an additional focus connecting educational content (math, science, technology, health, physical education, and engineering) with a variety of sport enhanced techonolgy. Participants will explore the multitude of ways technologies have evolved (a basketball with a chip that analyses arc, speed, and back spin) to enhance classroom content. Velocity and force and the integration of the scientific method are just a few of the benefits for students who use this technolgy. The cross-curriculuar real-life applications to learning will be demonstrated in a fun and interactive environment.
