Abstract
In response to the economic crisis in Lebanon, exacerbated by disruptions to formal education, the Bridge Program was developed to address the learning challenges faced by DAFI scholarship holders at the Lebanese University. This blended learning initiative aims to equip students with additional skills and training to enhance their employability. The program utilizes synchronous and asynchronous online courses, webinars, and one-on-one sessions to deliver comprehensive training. Initial results indicate positive impacts on students’ skill acquisition and knowledge enhancement, while promoting equity and inclusion in education. Challenges such as limited face-to-face interaction underscore the need for flexible approaches in crisis contexts. The Bridge Program offers a promising model for promoting educational equity and inclusion amid economic uncertainties, inspiring similar initiatives worldwide.
