Assessing Online Learning Best Practices Post COVID-19 : Lessons Learned from One School District

Abstract

Since the COVID-19 outbreak which was known since December 2019, no one had an idea on how this would impact the academic community. In particular, that this coronavirus would spread in the U.S. and eventually lead to school closures during the Spring of 2020. Back in March, the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) published an article entitled, “10 Strategies for online learning during a coronavirus outbreak.” The ISTE professionals identified key practices for successful online learning. We will explore through a self-reported survey and gather input from academic think tanks/working groups on the best practices and lessons learned for online learning since the closure of schools and transition to an online learning environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. The article by Jennifer Snelling and Diana Fingal, published March 16 is here: https://www.iste.org/explore/learning-during-covid-19/10-strategies-online-learning-during-coronavirus-outbreak
