Abstract
This project looks at how inequitable lack of access to extended reality (XR) technology is an impediment to the opportunities for engagement in collaborative education for marginalised groups. The collaborative education in this research focuses on creative subjects. The research was guided by the following questions: What is the scope defined by “access to collaborative education”? What is the history of access to collaborative education for marginalised groups? How significant lack of access to XR technology as a barrier to collaborative education for learners from marginalised groups? The research helps to shed light on the ways in which inequitable lack of access to XR technology acts as a hindrance to collaborative education for people from marginalised groups.
