Because learners frequently interact with videos, photos, digital presentations, social media, and online platforms, learning is no longer limited to printed books and written texts. Multiliteracies is a crucial multimodal meaning idea that educators ought to understand as a result of these shifts.

The ability to read, understand, and produce meaning through numerous forms of communication and media is known as multiliteracies. Multiliteracies encompass visual, digital, listening, and technological literacy, contrasted to traditional literacy, which focuses mainly on reading and writing. This concept emphasizes that students learn in a range of methods and that education should change to reflect the 21st-century digital and multimedia landscape.

Effective and efficient learning certainly uses good learning models and methods the learning model is a procedure used to achieve a goal of the learning process while the learning method is a method used by an educator to students to achieve a goal in learning (Ilham, et al., 2022) One example of multiliteracies in practice is the use of Canva in classroom activities and projects. Through the help of the digital design platform Canva, students and teachers can create standard presentations, infographics, posters, videos,, and other multimedia assets.

Students can use photos, layouts, icons, colors, and text in a single presentation to creatively express their ideas instead of just bringing in written homework. For example, in a science lesson, students might use Canva to make an infographic about climate change that presents data, figures, and images in a way that is more interesting and accessible. Students may create digital storytelling projects in English lessons that successfully convey concepts by fusing written narratives with visuals.

Canva encourages learners' critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Additionally, it helps in the cultivation of digital literacy skills, which are crucial in today's highly technological culture. Because multimodal educational tools like Canva enable students to present material in meaningful and creative ways, they become more engaged learners.
