In these environments, feedback becomes one of the most important components that is most effective when it is timely and comes from multiple sources—including teachers, peers, and experts—to provide a richer, more confident learning journey. This approach illustrates that learning naturally involves social interaction and collaboration, where providing and receiving feedback not only tracks progress but also enhances one's overall performance from the group.

This modern shift toward acquiring knowledge with excellence through shared collaboration and mutual feedback closely reflects the principles that were found in the old tradition of the Socratic dialogue. Socratic dialogue is well known and serves as a form of argumentative conversation in which a facilitator and an individual or group use a series of questions to reach a certain conclusion about a mutually agreed-upon topic. Unlike a debate, the goal of the Socratic dialogue follows a methodical investigation that is particularly aimed at uncovering information and at the same time, sharpening the participants' ability to think critically in every process of inquiry. In practice, this concept is demonstrated when a facilitator asks a thought-provoking question and the individual or a group has to continue answering and analyzing each statement to effectively uncover and come up with a mutually agreed conclusion about the discussed topic. This method is commonly utilized in the classroom, where the teachers are guiding their learners to come up with their own notions until they reach an established consensus, which effectively draws out knowledge from within the learner rather than simply transmitting facts.

This way, it offers us a realization that learning should not only exist in solidarity in consideration that learning with others brings further fresher perspectives and ideas—it also comes with an important learning that you can find with your peers. In this manner, utilizing digital ecologies to promote social reciprocity allows learners to perceive knowledge as a shared resource rather than an individual asset.
