ql-align-justify"> One ubiquitous learning concept that is not often discussed is ambient learning. The process of passively learning knowledge through one's environment, often without deliberate effort or formal instruction, is also known as ambient learning. Ambient learning happens spontaneously as individuals connect with their surroundings, relative to traditional learning, which asks on focused attention. The learner’s progress and processes can be recorded on a regular schedule. Furthermore, the ambient learning environment needs to offer access to any content, such as documents, data, or video. The learning content is provided on request of the learner. (Bick et al., 2007)

For a further analysis and classification of the developed ambient display prototypes, more empirical insights are needed. Thus the second perspective is based on an empirical analysis of the reviewed articles in general and the prototypes specifically with a focus on the stated research problems and purposes, which indicate besides the main research questions also the variables of interest, the types of studies, and the used methodologies or evaluation strategies. Lastly, the reported results and findings inform observations made when deploying the prototypes.

The reason why I chose an Ambient Learning Environment for the students is to make sure that everything goes beyond the learning process of the learners. With this, students are able to identify the learning knowledge they actually need, they need to learn, and at the same time the students are able to gain knowledge with their respective areas of interest. In today’s generation, Ambient Learning is the best way for example to make the students feel safer, comfortable and more aware of their surroundings—it is also an idea of keeping the students inside the box of simultaneously approaching learning.

Additionally, when we’re talking about Ambient Learning, we are not just tackling the needs and wants of the students in terms of learning necessities; but I am also promoting the students’ cognitive process when they’re inside the environment where they can study or learn in a good and safe environment space. In terms of classrooms, exposing students with different types of learners can also affect the progress of the students, perhaps this might not be a solution, but I am more into Ambient Learning.
