Example: In modern classrooms, an open-book, collaborative project represents the normal state of knowledge.
Distributed Cognition: Our intelligence is also distributed across our tools (like Google Maps or digital archives). My mind is not just my brain; it includes the "cognitive prostheses" I use to solve problems.

4. Advantages of Collaborative Learning The primary advantage is the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). By collaborating, learners can reach heights they could never achieve alone. This social dynamic fosters diversity, where different cultural and linguistic perspectives are not just recognized but valorized as cognitive resources.
