Abstract

This case study explores the implementation of Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) as an innovative pedagogical tool within the context of a first-year undergraduate medical sciences program. Traditionally reliant on cadaveric dissection and 2D atlases, anatomy education faces challenges regarding spatial comprehension and resource accessibility. By analyzing the "Digital Cadaver" initiative, this study examines how IVR facilitates "embodied cognition" and improves spatial reasoning. The analysis includes a review of pedagogical frameworks, technological integration, and student outcomes, supported by scholarly research and digital media.

Introduction: The Spatial Challenge in Anatomy
