ql-align-justify">One example of a curriculum practice that integrates audio and oral meaning to reading and writing is the use of video clip-based learning activity or short educational videos. In the modern world that we are currently living where technology keeps advancing. Video is becoming the standard of e-learning format. Educators have been using video to present information through images, audio, and movement, not just limiting students with text. Video-based learning means learning experiences facilitated by video. Educators are using this strategy to integrate technology meaningfully into literacy learning instruction. With the video’s ability to feature camera footage, animation, graphics, movement, audio, videos provides a multisensory learning experience to the learner which significantly strengthens the connection of the learners on their macro skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing.)

Using Youtube is one of the best examples of integrating video-clip based learning and Youtube has become a dominant standard of online learning in the 21st century classroom. An example of classroom application of video-clip based learning is where the teacher will use a short educational video clip related to their topic. After that, the student will watch and listen to the provided video and discuss the message independently or the teacher may decide if he/she wants to discuss the students by group and then let the students read related supporting text and task students to write a response of what they learned in the short educational video.

Moreover, Youtube has amazing features, it provides features such as captions, transcript, and even guide questions. Therefore, students have guides to write what they have learned. The use of video clip based learning will improve students analytical skills and critical thinking as students are able to engage to the video and read the captions as they are analyzing the content of the provided video.
