This approach focuses on sharing drafts with classmates, instructors, or readers and utilizing their feedback to enhance the writing's concepts and organization. It frames writing as a social and repetitive process where meaning is formed through interaction and revision, as opposed to seeing it as an individual task.

Asking for feedback can be awkward at first. I frequently worry about other people's opinions of my writing. But I've come to understand that giving people the creative freedom to answer honestly produces deeper insights. This approach is supported by research. According to the National Writing Project, when students participate in group activities like peer review, where feedback helps writers improve their communication and thought processes, their writing gets better. This demonstrates that writing involves negotiating meaning with others in addition to expressing ideas.

This approach also supports the idea that writing is a process. According to Flower and Hayes (1981), writing involves organizing, putting ideas into words, and editing in response to criticism and introspection. Their model highlights that revision involves more than just fixing mistakes, it also involves reconsidering the way concepts are presented. Because it offers outside viewpoints that authors might miss, feedback is essential at this point.

Additionally, feedback-based learning also improves audience awareness. According to Purdue Writing Lab (2019) states that knowing how readers understand a message is essential to writing effectively. By using feedback, authors can pinpoint points that are unclear and modify their language, tone, and structure to better suit their target audience.

In general, getting feedback encourages clearer, more thoughtful writing even though it can cause anxiety. It helps writers take into account different viewpoints while promoting teamwork, reflection, and flexibility. By adopting this approach, I am able to enhance both my writing abilities and my self-confidence in effectively conveying ideas.
