Week 1

Project Update 1: Select a Topic for Your Course Project: Look ahead through the future weeks of the course as laid out in the course content, linked here. In this update, describe your project focus to the other participants in the course community, explain why you have chosen this particular topic, and provide an introduction to what you consider to be the leading literature on this topic. Give at least two other peers feedback on their chosen topics, with a focus on constructive suggestions.

Week 2

Project Update 2: Education Theory and Critics: Researching your topic, what are you finding about its education theory? Who are the critics of this educational theory? Provide references with formal citations to at least three pieces of scholarly work, as well as videos, infographics and other media you might find. Comment on at least two other peers’ updates whose topics may connect with yours, directly or indirectly. How is your thinking developing? Feel free to allow your topic to evolve, even into something quite different from what you originally intended!

Week 3

Project Update 3: Education Practices: How do the key ideas in your chosen topic translate successfully into education practice? What are the challenges facing those who try to translate the ideas you have been addressing into education practice? Provide references with formal citations to at least three pieces of evidence-based research, as well as videos, infographics and other media you might find. Comment on at least two other peers’ updates whose topics may connect with yours, directly or indirectly. How is your thinking developing?

Week 7

Project Update 4: CyberHelper and Your Writing Process: Reflect on your experience using CyberHelper to develop your scholarly essay. Your response should describe how you used the CyberHelper tools, how you chose to return to any specific tools, and how you interacted meaningfully with the AI chatbot through follow-up questions or refinements. In your reflection, consider addressing the following:

Overview of your process: How did you begin, and why? How did you decide which tools to use (or revisit), and what guided your choices?
Tool usage: Briefly describe how you used the tools (Brainstorm, Research, Plan, Expand, Summarize, Translate, Check Flow, Advise, Proofread, Ask). What specific role did each play in developing your essay?
Follow-up interactions: Were there moments where you asked follow-up questions or continued the conversation with the AI? Share at least a few examples of these interactions. What kinds of questions did you ask? What kinds of insights or improvements came out of those exchanges with the AI? Were they helpful or not, and why?
Most helpful tools: Did you find yourself returning to any tools more than once? Which ones, and why? What made them especially useful—or not so useful—for your writing?
Writing process influence: Overall, did using CyberHelper shape your writing process or not, and how? Did it change how you approach planning, drafting, or revising? What would you do differently next time?

Please be specific and descriptive in your reflection (at least 200 words). This reflection is about your process and what you learned from using AI support and not just the final product. If possible, include screenshots to show your work in CyberHelper. If you’re unable to include screenshots, no worries – just describe your experience clearly.

Week 8

Update 6: Peer Collaboration, AI Review, and Self-Reflection: After participating in the peer review process and the AI Review in the current course, both as a reviewer and as a creator who has received feedback, what was your experience? What went well? What could have gone better? How did the peer review process impact your revision? What lessons will you take for your own peer review practice about the most effective forms of peer collaboration? Comment on at least two other community members’ experiences.

Work enhancement (200+ words): How did the reviews you received help you to improve your work for this course based on each of the rubric’s main areas? How you have incorporated the feedback you received (AI reviews, peer reviews, and annotations)? What changes you have made to your work based on the AI and peer/human feedback you received? Why? How does the final version of your work align with the rubric? How did your thinking evolve from version to version? What are some robust examples of revisions you made in your work based on the reviews you received? Please provide at specific examples from your work where you used the AI review feedback and aspecific examples from your work where you used the peer review feedback and revised the corresponding parts of your work. Reflect back on your use of the AI chatbot agent. Highlight instances where you engaged with the chatbot and describe what you were trying to figure out at that moment. What exact question did you ask, what did the agent reply, and what changed (quote a before/after line) (feel free to add screenshots of these, if it’s easier)?
Knowledge gain (50+ words): Did the review and revision process help you gain knowledge? How? Provide examples specific based on the five main rubric categories (Experiencing, Conceptualizing, Analyzing, Applying, and Presentation) or other examples that may not fall under the rubric categories.
AI and peer/human review reflection (200+ words): Reflect on your experience receiving reviews throughout the course. What are the main differences between AI and peer/human reviews based on your experience? How do you think that you benefit (or not) from each type of review (AI vs peer/human)? Which type do you prefer the most and why? Provide specific examples and screenshots to support your reflection.
AI review on your peer review reflection (100+ words): Reflect on your experience receiving feedback on your drafted peer reviews. What changed in your feedback after seeing the AI suggestions and exactly what in the AI’s message triggered each change Which AI suggestions did you adopted and which did you declined.? For each, give the reason. In what specific way did your final feedback become more actionable, specific, balanced, or not? Point to one concrete element. Were there moments the AI misunderstood your review or gave advice that didn’t fit? What did you do: accept, adapt, reject, or dialogue?
AI competence reflection (100 words+): Reflect on your competency in using AI tools for academic and professional reasons through the AI review tool in this course. When you receive feedback or information (from AI, peers, or other sources), how do you decide what to trust and what to set aside? What specific strategies or examples can you share from your own experience in this course? Do you feel more or less confident in using AI tools after taking this course and why? Do you trust the AI outcomes or not? Why? After taking this course, will you use AI tools in your everyday and professional life more or less? Why? After this course, do you feel better prepared to use AI tools in your everyday and professional life? In what ways do you feel better prepared or not? Looking into the future, how do you think that you can be better prepared to use AI tools?
