Digital media supports active learning because it allows students to interact with lessons in meaningful and real-life ways. Learners can explore topics through videos or simulations, explain ideas using multimedia projects, and collaborate with classmates through digital platforms. Since students already encounter digital media in their everyday lives, using it in class makes learning more relatable and engaging.

One simple example of using digital media in the classroom is showing educational videos. Teachers may use short videos from YouTube to introduce a lesson, explain difficult concepts, or show real-world situations. For example, in a science class, students can watch an animated video about the water cycle. Afterward, they can discuss what they learned or create their own digital drawing or short video explaining the process.
