Some learners are already independent and confident in expressing their ideas, while others struggle with comprehension and need more guidance. I also have students who are more comfortable using their mother tongue, which sometimes affects their participation in English-based discussions. Initially, this created an exclusionary dynamic where high-performing students tended to dominate activities, while others became passive or hesitant to engage. To address this, I use differentiated instruction, group work, and a mix of languages to ensure understanding. I also create opportunities for every learner to participate by assigning roles and encouraging peer support. Through these strategies, my classroom has become more inclusive, where students feel respected and supported regardless of their differences. I have learned that embracing diversity helps create a more engaging and effective learning environment for all learners.
