Instead of memorizing explanations, learners engage directly with systems and discover how changes influence results. Through experimentation, patterns and relationships become visible, allowing learners to develop a deeper and more concrete understanding of complex concepts.

The effectiveness of simulations lies in their ability to combine multiple modes of communication. Visual elements such as moving diagrams and animations illustrate processes that are difficult to convey through text alone. Linguistic elements—including instructions, labels, and explanations—guide interpretation and support comprehension.
