In a world were learning isn't confined to classrooms only or to specific times of the day, a different way of knowledge accessibility evolves. And here comes, Ubiquitous learning. A concept that's revolutionizing education that promotes seamless learning , accessible, and integrated into daily life. Ubiquitous learning enables learners to access knowledge and resources anywhere, anytime.

Apparently, with the proliferation of digital devices like smartphones, etc., educational contents are easier for learners to tap in their own space, encourages peer collaboration, or engage learning activities at their own time. In relation to EDI, this concept caters to diverse learning styles and schedules, making education more inclusive and personalized.

This flexibility or U-learning environments often connect academic concepts to real-world contexts. For instance, a teacher in Science subject creates a QR code linked to a question, task, or a resource. And students scan it using smartphones or tablets, access the content that prompt them to explore or solve problems– applying classroom knowledge in a practical setting. Another example for this is a Google Classroom which is widely used in schools that enables students to access learning materials, accomplish tasks, and collaborate with peers anywhere, anytime.

According to a study by Hwang et al. (2017), "Ubiquitous learning environments can enhance student engagement and motivation, leading to improved learning outcomes."

This only means that giving learners the sufficient resources can never hinder learning in their own time and space. Additionally, these are the other advantages of ubiquitous learning --- enhanced engagement, improved retention, and better application of knowledge. However, it usually requires self-directed learning skills, digital literacy, and effective use of technology as well for learners to be able to learn effectively and follow through.
