ql-align-justify"> Didactic refers to a teacher-centered approach in which knowledge is directly delivered from the instructor to the learner. Research on didactics in its broadest definition refers to all kinds of research on teaching or, more precisely, on the teaching-studying learning process (Kansanen, 1999), a contemporary example of this approach can be found in instruction videos provided by Khan Academy. The application of technology in learning helps teachers and students understand material that is abstract and requires more reasoning (Yuniarti dan Hartati, 2020).

In its application, the Khan Academy platform is the choice in an effort to improve the quality of education in online learning (Soebagyo, 2016). This platform was launched in 2006 by a non-profit company which is now the most popular Education site in the world (Hernawati, 2012). In online learning, the integration of the use of digital technology is able to facilitate the learning process as a supporting medium and a means of obtaining an overview to improve the quality of education (Makiyah et al., 2019)and support the improvement of 21st century skills (Dash, 2019).

One of the strengths of this approach is that it provides a clear and structured explanation, making complex topics easier to understand. With this, students are able to use their own time, learning at their own pace—which also integrates independent learning. Through this, students will be guided step by step and it is perfect for huge or in a large classroom setup.

However, if there's strength, there are also limitations. One of the weaknesses of this approach is that there is a minimal interaction between students and instructor. Moreover, it is an online application where you students must have access to the internet connection for a better experience and understanding. Students may only rely on passive watching because no one is teaching them in person. It’s more of the interaction between the application and the approach.

I find this approach good and practical especially in Contemporary time since we are also getting to know more about the use of digital literacy. We are surrounded by the internet, and connection between people and social interaction—either online or offline. The reason why I chose this is not only because we’re in the era where technology is one of the factors in learning, but also because I want to see how these explorations can be seen by many people that providing printed textbooks and relying on one resource only may not help students to learn more. It is an isolation where students should only rely on one source only? There’s no critical thinking happening. in-fact , by letting students find more resources, it can really help them to improve and gain more knowledge.
