ql-align-justify"> The classroom operates as a learning environment where students acquire knowledge together with different thinking methods according to my experience as a science teacher in public schools throughout the Philippines. I teach science according to three main dynamics which exist in the curriculum through mimesis and synthesis and reflexivity while students learn through their science studies. The three approaches enable me to achieve balance between structured learning and relevant education while students from limited resource educational systems show strong motivation to learn.

The process of mimesis begins when I show experiments to my students who replicate my demonstration through their experiments which include leaf starch tests for photosynthesis study. This builds their confidence in handling scientific tools. I demonstrate synthesis through my teaching method which links different subjects when I teach students to connect chemistry and biology for climate change understanding. Students develop reflexivity through my teaching method which leads them to examine scientific outcomes while they reflect on their learning development and analyze scientific matters which include the social and ethical aspects of science especially in genetically modified crops and renewable energy fields. The classroom transforms into a space where students develop their skills through integrated learning activities and critical thinking development.

The practice of teaching science through mimesis and synthesis together with reflexivity represents my most important method for creating valuable learning experiences in public school science classes. The educational framework of mimesis establishes basic structure for learning while synthesis permits students to create knowledge connections and reflexivity enables them to evaluate scientific knowledge within its societal context. The scientific concepts which I teach to my students will enable them to develop into responsible community members who understand how science applies to their local community problems.
