Students no longer passively accept information through listening; they now engage in active learning. The Philippine education system has developed new ways to deliver educational content that better supports students with different learning needs and diverse interests and learning methods. Education now requires students to develop critical thinking skills and creative abilities and practical knowledge that they can use in their daily lives rather than just memorizing information.

The concept of Authentic Pedagogy first entered my life during my college studies whenI learned about the teaching method which uses real-world tasks to engage students in their knowledge development through exploration and analysis and creation of new knowledge. The educational approach of authentic pedagogy enables students to take control of their educational journey because it makes teachers function as guides who support their learning process. The education systemhas started to adopt public school teaching methods becauseI currently observe these methods in practice. The Departmentof Education has established curricula which use interactive activities and projectbased learning and collaborative tasks to support different learning styles. The current educational approach enables students to solve problems while conducting research through their practical projects which help them acquire skills that extend beyond basic memorization.

Shifting to authentic pedagogy is not without challenges. Some teachers stay with traditional teaching methods because they find it hard to learn new educational techniques. However, teachers are slowly gaining better skills to use new teaching methods after receiving support from the Department of Education through its seminars and workshops and professional development courses. The programs deliver practical materials and methods and conceptual frameworks which help educators create activities that improve student participation and academic performance. The ongoing educational transformation process brings a positive development for Philippine education because it creates a chance to establish more relevant education approaches which center on student needs and match 21st century learning requirements.
