I’d like to introduce you to the language of communication which is often overlooked but holds so much meaning, the language of bodies. We can’t deny that it often helps us convey meaning by giving words more substance and explanation because at the end of the day, what are words without action?

To communicate without words, it involves face expression where even a blink of an eye, the curve of a mouth or the way your brows meet gives an implication of something. Expressing yourself does not only stop with how your face reacts but also includes how you present yourself, the way you style your clothes or the way you like your hair to be done, the color you put yourself into, or the way you stand with confidence is something that gives people a thing or two about you. You don’t even need to speak, you just need to show up and people would talk, they would give what we call their first impression about you. Also, it might not be that obvious but distance is also a way to communicate like when you’re not close to someone, or is angry at someone you simply want to stay away from them or be alone with yourself. In some cases if you have someone you cherish you want to always be with them and accompany them which would want you to always be near and close to them. There are so many possibilities in the absence of words but at some point I realize that it can only get you far enough to imply something and people are nothing but complicated and complex.

Therefore I realized that perhaps these cues are not what they seem, perhaps the subtle brush of hands or stolen glances is nothing more than what it is. Thus, action may be seen as confusing to others. I realized that words are also as important as actions, words give clarity while actions give assurance. It can be a double edged sword to communicate without words. It's like a matter of how they perceive you and how you perceive them when at the end of the day you don’t wanna be perceived, but you communicate for them to understand.
