ql-align-justify">The beauty of waraynon is beyond people's imagination, in the ocean, livelihood, smiles, and language. The language of my pinalanggang (lovely) province has a beauty that does not just show in how it sounds, but also in how it expresses emotion, culture, identity, and traditions.

According to Abuyen (2005), the term Waray comes from the word often heard by non-speakers, meaning "none" or "nothing" in the language. Waray is heard from the provinces of Samar, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and parts of Leyte, which became their way of communicating. Waray has a naturally rhythmic and melodic flow thar can sound strong and bold but the intention is different because even if the tone rises, but at the end it falls in a way that feels emotional and heartfelt. Waraynon (speakers) are known for being direct and affectionate at the same time, which allows them to express love, longing, pain, anger, and happiness in the most sincere way. The Waray language can be compared to the sound of waves. Eastern Visayas is surrounded by seas like the Pacific Ocean and Samar Ocean, and just like the waves, the language has a natural rhythm. In addition, Waray is one of the many regional languages found in the Philippines and used in local government. It is widely used in the media, particularly in television and radio broadcasts. The second language that they are most comfortable with is the English language in the country, which strengthened these writers’ loyalty to their ethnic mother tongue as their medium for their art.

In conclusion, the beauty of Waraynon, therefore, is not only heard in its sound but deeply felt in its meaning. The Waray language carries the emotions, history, and identity of its people. It reflects the livelihood shaped by the sea, the warmth behind every smile, and the deep affection they have for their beloved land, which Waraynon speakers naturally express. More than just a means of communication, Waray is a living symbol of culture and tradition that continues to thrive in homes, communities, media, and literature.
