Canva is an online graphic design platform. It lets users make creative visual materials like presentations, posters, infographics, and videos — even without design skills. What makes it innovative is that it combines different ways of communicating. Students can put together text, images, videos, and audio in one work. This goes beyond traditional text-based learning, making it more interesting for today’s learners who use many types of media daily.

Canva also supports diversity and inclusion. It has many templates, graphics, and fonts that represent different cultures and views. This is important in classrooms where students come from different backgrounds. As future teachers, we can use Canva to make materials that connect with students identities and let them share their own stories. This matches the goal of recognizing differences, keeping students engaged, and helping them grow through learning. Canva also helps students use what they know in creative ways. Instead of just writing essays or giving oral presentation, they can make infographics or video presentations to show what they understand. This lets them create new ideas by using their knowledge in new formats.

In class, Canva can be used for four steps of learning. Students can first experience the tool by exploring its features and familiarizing themselves with it, connecting it to their everyday digital experiences. As a future teacher, I think Canva makes learning easier and more engaging. It also gives students digital skills they need for the 21st century. It values diversity, lets students communicate in many ways, and supports creative pedagogy.
