In the 4th Quarter of Grade 10 Araling Panlipunan, which focuses on Politikal na Pakikilahok (Political Participation), the way students study changes from theoretical knowledge to active civic involvement through the use of mimesis, synthesis, and reflexivity. Mimesis is the important starting point for students to learn the technical language and structure of Philippine administration by imitating the "forms" of democracy, including pretending to be in a Sangguniang Barangay meeting or rehearsing how to file a petition. This basic imitation leads to synthesis when pupils put together complicated, multi-modal material, such comparing the 1987 Constitution's rules about voting with today's problems of digital misinformation and "troll" language. Students go beyond just "copying" when they put together legal frameworks, social media trends, and the needs of their local communities. They start to come up with whole advocacy campaigns or policy recommendations that deal with real problems in the Philippines.

Reflexivity changes the curriculum into a personal "praxis" by making students look at how their own socio-economic background, family history, and regional identity affect their political trust and engagement. Reflexivity doesn't simply teach kids how to vote; it also gets them to think about why they might not care or be motivated. This breaks down their "political self" so they can be more intentional in the democratic process. "Social Mimesis Pedagogies" make this dynamic even stronger by having students imitate not only the rules but also the ways that civil society groups (NGOs and POs) work together to show them the strength of coordinated movements. This integrated strategy makes sure that Grade 10 students leave the quarter not only as informed citizens, but also as self-aware individuals who can handle the tension between institutional regulations and the changing digital world of the 21st century.
