ql-align-justify">Teaching in a remote part of the Philippines has changed how I understand learning. My pupils learn not only from books but from daily life helping their families, solving real problems and adapting to constant change. because of this, I can no longer see education as a linear or focused on memorization alone.

Rather than holding on to traditional "back to basics" methods, I am learning to design lessons that connect school learning to my pupils' realities. I encourage them to create, collaborate and apply what they know to local issues. In doing so I am just teaching content. I am helping them prepare for a future that demands adaptability, creativity and engagement. Even in a remote classroom, I see myself as an active designer of learning and of our shared social future.
