...MoreI studied Architecture and obtained my degree in 2007, from there I did my Honneurs and Masters in Town and Regional Planning which I obtained in 2008 and 2009 accordingly.
Throughout my studies I worked in Marketing (from there interest in social impacts sparked) and later as a Junior Town Planner at Bopa Lesedi Management Consultants, projects there included designing and building alternative low cost housing and community facilities. This was done under the Free State Provincial Government's project Operation Hlasela (Attach Poverty). In 2010 I started as a Junior Lecturer at the University of the Free State as a CAD lecturer due to my background in Architecture. I intend to do my PhD in a year or two, providing I get exposed to different views on housing, architecture, planning and sustainability.
In South Africa there is a need for alternative means to and end, and I intend to have some, even if it is small, contribution to this. "Be the Change you want to see in the World".
