Dr. Yahya Othman holds a PhD in Teaching the Malay Language as a First Language. He is a senior lecturer at a University Brunei Darussalam. His specialization is related to teaching reading. He lectures courses related to the teaching of reading and writing, testing and evaluation, and also computer applications in the teaching of the Malay Language. He has conducted a lot of researches in language pedagogy, focusing on teaching of reading and writing. In terms of publications, he has published three academic books related to the teaching of reading and seminar papers in various seminar proceedings, journals, and teaching modules.
