I have worked in a wide range of educational settings, both formal and non-formal, in England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan and Hong Kong, teaching all levels of education from early years to adult learners. I have acted as an educational consultant to the Government of Bangladesh and to an international development agency. In my current role I am co-director of St. Xavier’s College and Liverpool Hope University’s Joint Research Institute into Education and Society. My research interests are motivating young people and the alternative curriculum, within a UK and a global context, and the development of cross-cultural dialogue and understanding to facilitate this.
