...MoreBy way of introduction, my name is Victoria Huffman. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Bradley University located in Central Illinois. I have long been interested in the qualities of educators that foster the development of communities of learners in their classrooms. This led me to the work of Nel Noddings' ethic of caring, which subsequently gave me a theoretical orientation to study the encounters between teachers and students and assess the degree to which teachers demonstrated ethical caring behaviors.
