...MoreI have recently completed my Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition at Illinois State University, and this year am serving as Assistant Professor of English and Director of First-Year Writing at Lewis University. I have previously served as Coordinator of Writing at Eureka College, and have taught composition, literature, creative writing, rhetoric, and ESL at a number of 2- and 4-year institutions, including Taegu University in South Korea. My research interests include the history of writing technologies, writing across the curriculum, the rhetoric of 12-step addiction recovery programs, and political rhetoric. I will be presenting on the use of persuasive strategies in campus military recruitment at the 2009 Conference on College Composition and Communication in San Francisco.
