...MoreA specialist in regional economic development and urban/regional planning, Dr. Clark has served on the faculties of McGill, Middlebury, Rutgers, and since 1982, the University of Colorado Denver (UCD), where he has held a variety of administrative and research positions including Dean of the Graduate School and Associate Vice Chancellor. He is also a Research Affiliate at Idaho National Laboratory's Center for Advanced Energy Studies, and until recently chaired the UCD College of Architecture and Planning's Department of Planning and Design where he pioneered new avenues for professional planning education. He is past co-editor of "Progress in Planning" (Elsevier) and the author of numerous books, monographs and articles. He has consulted widely,and oversees the work of doctoral students from throughout the world. His recent work addresses community economic development, sustainable planning, national energy policy,smart growth policy assessment, international development, and western, rural and small town planning.
