Thea Costantino is an artist and writer whose research considers the representation of the past, and how this process can be re-articulated or re-envisioned with reference to the elisions, absences or marginalised aspects of the historical record. In 2011 she was awarded the Qantas Foundation Encouragement of Contemporary Australian Art Award, and has a chapter forthcoming in a book on monstrous geographies, published by Inter-Disciplinary Press, release scheduled for 2013. Her visual art work has been exhibited in Australia, Germany and the USA.
