With over twenty years of teaching experience in contexts spanning the early years of school to tertiary education, Tess has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in curriculum and pedagogy. Her recent work at a tertiary level has focused on the development and delivery of curriculum in professional experience that reflect 21st century trends in teacher education. This work has been influenced strongly by research and experience, both of which are firmly grounded in the realities of the world and work of teachers.
Tess has a strong interest in Early Years Education, her doctoral studies are focused on transition between prior-to-school environments and primary schools. She currently teaches in the Primary and Early Childhood Bachelor of Education programs at Southern Cross University, Australia.
