  Associated Professor at Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT) in the University of Lisbon. Has PhD in Human Geography (1995). Lecture of Geography and European Studies modules, such as: Human Geography; Regional Planning; Economy and Social Politics in the UE; and Economy and Territorial Dynamics in Europe. Coordinator of the project Night: Opportunities and Innovation in the Territory (NOITe) and also coordinates the Postgraduate Studies on European Policies (European Studies) at the University of Lisbon. Is researcher at the TERRiTUR research group (Tourism, Culture and Space). The main research interests are: Geography of the night; spatial planning and management; urban and regional development; evaluation of EU Programmes and Initiatives.
