Suzanne Stluka is the Food & Families Program Director for SDSU Extension. She provides leadership to the Food & Families Capstone Field Specialists in the areas of Family Resource Management, Food Safety, Gerontology, and Nutrition. Suzanne also provides leadership to the Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and Family Nutrition Program (FNP); these programs provide health and wellness education to limited resource audiences across SD. Her research interests are in the area of food security, food access, and nutrition education for Native American audiences. Suzanne is a Registered Dietitian (RD). She has a M.S. degree in Family & Consumer Sciences (Nutrition Education specialization) from Eastern Illinois University as well as a B.S. in Family & Consumer Sciences Education, and Nutrition (Dietetics) from South Dakota State University. Additionally, Suzanne is working on her Ph.D. in Human Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She holds a Certificate of Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management from the American Dietetic Association Commission on Dietetic Registration.
