Susan T. Hibbard is the Director of Effectiveness & Accountability at Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, FL. She oversees the institution's new Office of Sponsored Programs & Research and continuous improvement cycle. Her research focuses on evaluation theory and practice, specifically, the ways in which evaluation is actually carried out in higher education. She has evaluated programs for state and federal grants, including the National Science Foundation and the Howard Hughes Medical Institution.
She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Measurement & Evaluation from University of South Florida, a M.S. in Education from Niagara University, and a B.A. in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo. Dr. Hibbard serves as a proposal reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education's Investing in Innovation program and Supporting Effective Educator Development program. She is an active member of the American Evaluation Association, American Educational Research Association, Association of Institutional Research and Kappa Delta Pi an international honor society in the field of education. In addition, Susan served as an editorial assistant for the peer reviewed journal Educational Researcher, one of the top journals for educational research. She has presented at several national conferences including the American Evaluation Association, SAS Global Forum, American Educational Research Association, Association of Institutional Research, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Council on College, and the Association of Teacher Educators, in the areas of evaluation, research, accreditation, and teacher preparation.
