He has doctoral degrees in Psychology (UCT, 1974) and Education (UNISA, 1992), and is registered as a Clinical and Educational Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and a Chartered Clinical, Sport and Exercise Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.
