I am a Certified Nurse-Midwife currently employed as an Associate Professor at the College of New Rochelle, School of Nursing. I have extensive clinical expertise in women's health. My current research interest involves the study of the impact of spirituality as it affects health and well-being within the social sciences. I believe a better understanding of the complex connection of spirit in our health can help prevent illness as well as improve outcomes. This chapter is part of a larger dissertation research.
