Graduated with honors from the Language Teaching Degree Program at the Universidad Regional del Sureste Oaxaca, Mexico in 2008, I became an English teacher. The evolution from student to teacher was overwhelming at the beginning.
During my internship (August - December 2008) I worked with a difficult audience: pre-teens and teenagers. I adapted real quickly to working in middle school and high school, and before I finished my degree program, I was offered a job at an outsourcing, which provided English services to the school where I did my internship ( 2009 to 2010 Instituto Blaise Pascale High School and Middle School). Then I started teaching TOEFL preparation to adults. This was also a rewarding experience because adult learners are highly motivated to learn.
Next August it will be 4 years and 4 generations of students since I started teaching at Universidad La Salle Oaxaca. I have taught English at both levels there: high school and university. My immediate boss is an excellent person, my colleagues are a source of inspiration and our clients are demanding teenagers hungry for innovation. They put pressure on me to improve my teaching every day, which has only made me a better teacher.
