Dr Sharon Broughton is responsible for the development of and teaching in an academic transition program at Griffith University. The program aims to ensure adult students entering university are adequately prepared and supported to engage successfully with university learning. Sharon has seven years experience as a lecturer coordinating tertiary access studies, working across educational sectors and providing academic and mentoring support to adult students. Her research interests are adult education, higher education, transition and engagement to higher education for low socioeconomic status students, learning and teaching.
