Sedigheh Golshan obtained her Master in Architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. She also graduated from Herriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland where she received her Master in Conservation of Monuments and Sites. She has vast experience in conservation works of historical sites in Iran and since 1989, is a faculty member of the Department of History of Architecture and Conservation at Shahid Beheshti University, School of Architecture and Urban Planning. She is also a guest lecturer of University of Tehran; has taught courses on the history of Islamic architecture and conservation of historic monuments, sites, and cities.
She has published several articles in Iran and a few articles in a Canadian magazine. She participated in seminars and presented her articles all over the world. Her articles are most published in notable journals both in Iran and abroad. Her area of interests is on Qajar Architecture. She still continues her long term research on History of Tehran-Royal-Citadel and in the meantime her other research subject is the history of the city of Yazd and the Grand-Mosque of Yazd.
