I am a social scientist and geographer. My speciality is in issues related to gender based violence and society, especially in the fashion in which people behave and influence upon the world. The area of my research study ‘violence against women’ is inter-disciplinary, as it links Geography with Social science on one hand and on the other hand it is closely linked with humanities, criminology and law. I have completed my PhD in ‘Violence against Women’ from Kingston University, London, UK. In this respect my research is the first ever research study conducted regarding violence against desert women of Pakistan. One research paper from my thesis has already been published in ‘The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences’. I have worked in several disciplines pertaining to social, economic, demographic, legal and cultural issues. I also have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My job task includes writing of research papers, teaching, carrying out interviews, managing questionnaires, establishing focus groups, instrumenting different social research tools and also to attend and present research papers at conferences. In UK I have worked for Kingston University, St. George’s Hospital, Medical School and other prestigious non-government organizations like UNIFEM and WAFE. In Pakistan I have worked as a Lecturer/researcher at ‘The Islamia University’, Punjab. Through my company ‘Hope Social Research Limited’ I am providing services to a wide range of audiences form public to private sector.
